The Huntsville Item reports that on Sunday, November 17th, funeral services were conducted in Huntsville for well-known gymnastics coach Bela Karolyi. It was a private funeral, which drew people from around the world.
Karolyi died at the age of 82. There was no cause of death given. Karolyi and his wife Martha were famous for training many Olympic gold medalists and world champions in the United States and Romania. Those they trained include May Lou Retton and Nadia Comaneci.
